Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, and Princess Anne embarked on a Royal Tour of Canada for the centenary of Manitoba’s and the Northwest Territories’ entries into Confederation. The family visited Churchill, Thompson, Gillam, Flin Flon, Norway House, Swan River, The Pas, Dauphin, Clear Lake, Brandon, Portage la Prairie, Oakville, Winnipeg, Carman, Beauséjour, and Lower Fort Garry. They also enjoyed some personal time at the Bailey Farm near Carberry, Manitoba.
